§ 8.102. Director of finance—Qualifications, appointment and compensation.

  • The director of finance shall have proven administrative ability and a well founded reputation in public finance, or a record of exceptional performance for at least five (5) years as a comptroller or financial head of a large business. The mayor shall appoint the director of finance subject to confirmation by a majority of the whole membership of the council. He or she shall serve at the pleasure of the mayor making the appointment and until his or her successor is qualified. The director's salary shall be fifteen thousand ($15,000) dollars per annum, payable semimonthly.
