§ 11.601. Created; number, qualifications, appointment and term of office of members.

There shall be a metropolitan board of fair commissioners, which shall consist of
five (5) members to be appointed by the mayor and confirmed by a majority of the whole
membership of the council. The members of the board shall serve for terms of five
(5) years each, except that the members first appointed, one (1) shall serve for a
term of one (1) year, one (1) for a term of two (2) years, one (1) for a term of three
(3) years, one (1) for a term of four (4) years, and one (1) for a term of five (5)
years. Any vacancy occurring during the term of a member shall be filled in the manner
prescribed for the original appointment and shall be for the unexpired portion of
the term.
