There is hereby created and established in and for Davidson County, Tennessee, a court
with the title and style of Juvenile Court of Davidson County, Tennessee. Such court
shall be a court of record, presided over by a judge who shall have the qualifications
hereinafter provided, and whose salary shall be provided and paid as hereinafter provided.
Such judge shall be known and have the title of Judge of the Juvenile Court of Davidson
County, and shall devote his full time to the duties of such office of judge, and
shall have no other professional activity; and there is hereby created the office
of clerk of said court; that said court shall have a seal, and that the judge and
clerk, within their respective functions as such officers of said court, shall have
the power and authority to administer oaths and affirmations whenever the same are
required by law in connection with any case, procedure, process or otherwise in such
court.
