§ 12. Chief probation officer—Duties generally.

The chief probation officer, under the general supervision of the judge, shall organize, direct and develop the administrative work of the court, including the social, financial and clerical work, assign cases for investigation or treatment to the technical and professional employees, and shall perform all such other duties as the judge shall direct.
