§ 3.12. Disability in line of duty—Benefit.

A member of Division B shall receive a monthly disability retirement benefit, which shall be payable on his disability retirement date, as defined in Section 3.11, and on the first day of each month thereafter during the period of his disability, as defined in Section 3.11, and during his lifetime. Such monthly disability retirement benefit shall be equal to one-twelfth ( 1/12 ) of fifty percent (50%) of his credited earnings.
