§ 10.20.300. Sanitary landfills established—Fee required.
The metropolitan government may establish sanitary landfills or other places of disposal of Waste as maybe necessary. Except as provided herein, no person shall use or be permitted to use any sanitary landfill or other place of waste disposal except upon the payment of a fee. The metropolitan council may by resolution establish or adjust fees for any persons using metropolitan sanitary landfills, incinerators or other collection stations, provided nothing herein shall prohibit the establishment of a private landfill by any private developer, provided such landfill is approved by the metropolitan health department and the appropriate agencies of the State of Tennessee.
