For purposes of this chapter, the following phrases and words shall have the meanings assigned below, except in the instances where the context clearly indicates a different meaning.

Terms not otherwise defined in this chapter, if questioned, shall be as adopted in the latest edition of the "Standard Methods for the Examinations of Water and Wastewater," published by the American Public Health Association, the American Water Works Association, and the Water Pollution Control Federation.
