§ 15.52.020. Extensions in new subdivisions—Approval required.

  • A.

    No application for water main or sewer extensions to the water and sewerage system of the metropolitan government in a new subdivision shall be accepted by the director unless the subdivision in which the extension is to be made has prior preliminary approval of the metropolitan planning commission.

    B.

    On approval of the water main for sewer extension by the metropolitan planning commission, the director of water and sewer services shall thereafter issue the necessary permits for the extension of the water or sewer lines. If, in the opinion of the director, the approval by the planning commission contravenes with departmental master plan, rules or regulations, he shall forthwith submit the proposed extension to the metropolitan council by ordinance for approval or rejection.
