Article I. Discharges to Publicly Owned Treatment Works |
§ 15.60.070. Wastewater pollutants—Maximum concentrations.
No person or user shall discharge wastewater in excess of the pollutant concentrations identified in the Operational Division Policy No. 2008-01 for Local Limits (TABLE A), unless:
A.
An exception has been granted the user under the provisions of Section 15.60.180; or
B.
The wastewater discharge permit of the user provides, as a special permit condition, a higher interim concentration level in conjunction with a requirement that the user construct a pretreatment facility or institute changes in operation and maintenance procedures to reduce the concentration of pollutants to levels not exceeding the standards set forth in the table within a fixed period of time.
Local Limits: Metro is authorized to establish Local Limits pursuant to Tennessee Rule 1200-4-14-.05(3).
Metro may develop best management practices (BMPs) by ordinance or in individual wastewater discharge permits, or general permits, to implement Local Limits and the requirements of Section 15.60.070.
