§ 16.12.360. Testing—Procedure for air test.

    When an air test is used, the test shall be made by attaching an air compressor or testing apparatus to any suitable opening after closing all other inlets and outlets to the system. Air is then forced into the system until there is a uniform gauge pressure of five pounds per square inch or sufficient pressure to balance a column of mercury ten inches in height.

    B.

    To satisfactorily complete this test, the pressure shall be maintained for a period of fifteen minutes without the introduction of additional air.
