§ 16.16.370. Plans and specifications—Requirements.

  • A.

    Detailed plans and specifications shall be provided to define the nature and character of the work to be performed and to identify the type, grade and size of the materials, devices, equipment, and fixtures to be installed. The applicant for a gas/mechanical permit shall furnish such plans and specifications with the application for such permit. Such plans shall be drawn to scale and all plans and specifications shall be triplicate.

    B.

    No plans shall be required for one and two family dwellings.

    C.

    Plans shall indicate how required fire-resistive integrity will be maintained where a penetration of a wall, floor or partition will be made fire-resistive for gas/mechanical conduits, ducts, pipes and systems.

    D.

    All drawings, specifications and accompanying data shall bear the name and address of the designer. When required by state law, such designer of the gas/mechanical plans shall be an architect or engineer legally registered under the laws of the state and shall affix his or her official seal to said drawings, specifications and accompanying data.
