§ 16.36.040. Existing buildings—Examination and inspection.

  • A certificate of occupancy for any existing building shall be obtained by applying to the department of codes administration and supplying the information and data necessary to determine compliance with Sections 2.80.010 through 2.80.110 and Chapters 16.04, 16.08, 16.28 and 16.36 through 16.56 for the occupancy intended. Where necessary, in the opinion of the director, two sets of detailed drawings or a general inspection or both may be required. When, upon examination and inspection, it is found that the building conforms to the provisions of this chapter for such occupancy, a certificate of occupancy shall be issued.
