§ 16.60.110. Continued monitoring.

  • A.

    It shall be the duty of the metropolitan government department, agency, board, or commission having control over a building or facility that was constructed or renovated using the LEEDTM sustainable building rating system pursuant to this chapter to provide an annual report to the metropolitan council not later than June 30 of each year detailing the environmental performance and operation of the building or facility for the previous calendar year.

    B.

    The annual report required by subsection A. of this section shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

    1.

    The total cost to construct or renovate the facility;

    2.

    The costs for electricity, natural gas, and water for the previous calendar year;

    3.

    The building or facility's energy and water usage in kilowatt hours, therms, and gallons (as applicable) for the previous calendar year compared to a non-LEED certified building/facility of similar size and use within the area of the metropolitan government;

    4.

    The estimated energy and water cost savings for the previous calendar year compared to a non-LEED certified building/facility of similar size and use within the area of the metropolitan government;

    5.

    The square footage of both the LEED building and the comparison building.

    C.

    In the alternative to the reporting information requirements of subsection B. of this section, the metropolitan government department, agency, board, or commission having control over a building or facility that was constructed or renovated using the LEEDTM sustainable building rating system may submit a copy of any annual report(s) submitted to the U.S. Green Building Council or other applicable rating agency required by such agency to maintain LEED-certified status.
