§ 17.40.440. General.

Unless exempt from the provisions of this chapter, no person shall remove or in any way damage any protected tree without first obtaining a permit from the zoning administrator. Any tree which is damaged, destroyed or removed without the required tree permit shall be repaired according to accepted International Society of Arboriculture practices, or replaced with the equivalent density units of replacement trees as provided in Chapter 17.24.
