§ 2.44.110. Presentation of gun and badge to retiring officers.

The metropolitan police department shall make a gift of a gun and badge to all retiring police officers who have at least twenty-five years of service upon their retirement. To be eligible to receive the gun and badge, the police officer must retire in good standing and be eligible to receive a service pension. This section shall apply to all officers who have retired since July 1, 1979, and meet all the conditions set forth herein.
