§ 2.44.170. Suspension, disciplinary action and dismissal—Employee rights.

Any member of the school crossing guard division shall be subject to suspension, disciplinary action or dismissal by the chief of police in the same manner as a regular member of the police department for cause. Any employee of the division shall be entitled to a hearing before the metropolitan civil service commission just as though such employee were in the classified service of the metropolitan government. It is the intent of this section that every employee of the school crossing guard division, within the tenure of her eligibility, shall be considered to be entitled to the same protection provided for classified employees.
