§ 2.44.180. Authorization—Administration.

The metropolitan police department is authorized to operate a combat auto theft (CAT) program for the benefit of any owner of a motor vehicle who desires to enroll his vehicle(s) in the program, and to charge a five dollar enrollment fee per vehicle to cover the administration of the program, including the cost of a decal to be placed on the rear window of the vehicle. The police department shall adopt the necessary rules and regulations to conduct the program. Participation in the program shall be voluntary.
