§ 2.48.020. Director of engineering—Qualifications.

  • The director of engineering shall be a graduate of a recognized college or university with an engineering degree, and in addition to such degree, shall have at least five years of advanced engineering, administrative or management experience in connection with public works. In lieu of a degree, two years of completed credit in a recognized college or university will be acceptable, provided it is accompanied by at least ten years of advanced responsible experience in engineering, administration or management in public works. A license from the state board of architectural and engineering examiners for the practice of engineering in Tennessee shall be required.
