§ 2.56.450. Powers.

The JIS shall have the power to:
A.

Establish bylaws, policies, procedures and standards for the development and ongoing management of justice related information systems which will be integrated;

B.

Enforce the bylaws, procedures, policies and standards set by the JIS;

C.

Provide a centralized mechanism for the acquisition and maintenance of all justice related automated solutions;

D.

Employ such persons and maintain such facilities as are necessary to exercise the powers and perform the duties of JIS within its budgetary limitations;

E.

In conformity with applicable legal requirements of the metropolitan government, authorize or enter into contracts and purchase or lease such equipment, software, services and supplies as necessary to exercise the powers and perform the duties of the JIS; and

F.

Take such other actions as are necessary to further the purpose of the JIS.
