§ 4.08.050. Purchasing agent—Additional duties.

  • Unless the director of finance assigns the following duties to some other division in his department, the purchasing agent shall also, in accordance with regulations promulgated by the standards board:

    A.

    Inspect or cause to be inspected all deliveries of such supplies, materials and equipment and cause tests to be made when necessary in order to determine their quality, quantity and conformance with specifications;

    B.

    Determine whether needs for specific supply items and categories of supplies can best be met through maintenance of inventory or the establishment and use of term contracts; and

    C.

    Transfer to or between using agencies, with the approval of the director of the public property administration, and sell or trade in supplies, materials or equipment determined by him, after consultation with the heads of the using agencies concerned, to be surplus, obsolete or unused.
