§ 5.04.020. Equipment or automobile leases—Approval required when.

All leases for equipment or automobiles shall be approved by resolution of the metropolitan council if the annual expenditure for the lease exceeds five thousand dollars per year. This section applies to all departments, boards, commissions and agencies of the metropolitan government. Provided, however, the foregoing to the contrary notwithstanding, this section shall not apply to the metropolitan board of public education.

This section shall not apply to leases of equipment (exclusive of office equipment) and motor vehicles used for seasonal construction or repair work including, but not limited to street and road paving and construction projects.
