§ 6.72.270. Payment of fare and receipts.

    Payment of fare. The driver of any taxicab shall provide the passenger with the option of paying the fare by cash, debit card or major credit card. For purposes of this section, the term "major credit card" means a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Diner's Club card.

    B.

    The driver of any taxicab shall, upon request by the passenger, provide a receipt for the amount charged, either by a mechanically printed receipt or by a specifically prepared receipt, on which shall be the name of the taxicab company, taxicab number and driver name, the amount of meter reading or charges, the points of trip origin and final destination, and the date of transaction.
