§ 6.74.020. Required.

No person shall operate or allow another to operate any passenger vehicle for hire, as defined in Section 6.74.010(19), owned or controlled by the person, to pick up passengers within the area of the metropolitan government without having first obtained a certificate of public convenience and necessity from the MTLC director. No other motor vehicle not specifically listed in this Title 6 or Title 12 of the Metropolitan Code of Laws may operate as a passenger vehicle for hire within the Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County.
