§ 6.84.050. False statements.

  • No auctioneer of personal property shall, with intent to induce any person to purchase the same, make any false representation or statement as to the ownership or the quality of the property offered for sale or as to the property or circumstances of the owner of such property, or sell goods or offer for sale at auction or advertise for sale any goods, wares or merchandise, falsely representing or pretending such goods, wares or merchandise to be in whole or in part a bankrupt or insolvent stock or damaged goods or goods saved from a fire, or make any false statements as to the purchase, history or character of such goods, wares or merchandise.
