It is unlawful for any person to act or to employ another to act as bybidder or what is commonly known as "capper" or "booster" at any auction sale of diamonds, watches, jewelry, silverware, etc., or to make or accept any false or misleading bids or to pretend to buy or sell any such article sold or offered for sale at any such auction.
