§ 6.88.040. Permit—Application.

  • A.

    Any person desiring to conduct an auction sale to offer for sale thereat any jewelry or automobiles, shall first file a written application for a permit therefor with the metropolitan collections officer.

    B.

    The application for a permit shall contain the following:

    1.

    The name, address and occupation or business of the person desiring to conduct such auction;

    2.

    The name, address and occupation or business of the person for whom the auction is to be conducted, if other than the applicant;

    3.

    The name and address of the owner of the merchandise to be offered at such auction, with a true and complete itemized inventory of the property to be offered for sale, showing the cost price thereof and the source of title thereto. Where the applicant for the permit is to conduct an auction sale of automobiles, the make of each automobile, including the motor and serial numbers thereof, shall be included in the application;

    4.

    The place and hour of such auction, with an estimate of the duration thereof;

    5.

    The name and address of the auctioneer who will call or cry the auction.

    C.

    The application for a permit shall be sworn to by the applicant before some person authorized by law to administer oaths.
