§ 15.04.330. Publicly owned treatment works.

  • "Publicly owned treatment works" or "POTW" means a treatment works as defined by Section 212 of the Act (33 U.S.C. 1292) which is owned by Metro. This definition includes any sewers, devices, or systems used in the collection, storage, treatment, recycling, and reclamation of sewage or industrial wastes of a liquid nature and any conveyances, which convey wastewater to a treatment plant. The term also means the metropolitan government of Nashville and Davidson County, a municipality, as defined in Section 502(4) of the Act (33 U.S.C. 1362) which has jurisdiction over the indirect discharges to and the discharges from such a treatment works.
