§ 6.20.220. Licensure requirements.

    In order to comply with the requirements of this chapter for licensure, an equipment installer shall successfully complete a written examination, administered by the metropolitan board of electrical examiners and appeals, designed to test the applicant's ability and knowledge in his/her field of equipment installation. The board shall certify the results of the applicant's competency to the director of the department of codes administration. Such examination shall be prerequisite to licensure as an equipment installer.

    B.

    Every person who, on June 4, 1991, the date of the adoption of the ordinance codified herein, is certified as an equipment installer, shall be licensed as an equipment installer under the provisions of this chapter.
