§ 6.72.160. Expiration—Issuance and replacement fee.

    Each taxicab driver permit shall be issued for a period of one year or any part thereof, or for such other time period the metropolitan transportation licensing commission prescribes, with all permits issued pursuant to this chapter expiring on September 30th of each year.

    B.

    A permit shall be issued to qualified applicants upon the payment of a fee in an amount to be established by the commission plus the cost of investigation. If the permit for the preceding issuance has been revoked, no new permit shall be issued without prior commission approval. Permits may be renewed by the director between August 15th and September 30th of each year. A renewal fee in an amount to be established by the commission shall be charged for each permit issued. A fee in an amount established by the commission shall be charged for all replacement or temporary taxicab driver permit. Such fees shall be in addition to the cost of any investigation.
